Otters Holt is a peaceful two-bedroom timber lodge overlooking the main fishing lake in the North Devon countryside. Set within a carefully spaced woodland setting, the lodge enjoys a real sense of privacy, allowing guests to relax and unwind without feeling overlooked. Sleeping up to four guests, it is ideal for couples, families, friends and anglers seeking a quiet escape surrounded by nature. Bideford, a historic port and market town on the River Torridge, is known as the "Little White Town" from Charles Kingsley's novel Westward Ho!. The town's popular Pannier Market sells local crafts and produce on Wednesdays and Saturdays, while the historic Long Bridge, built in 1268, spans the river with its distinctive 24 arches, each a different size. Lake views stretch out before you and woodland surrounds the lodge, creating a calm and restorative retreat with plenty of opportunities to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the area.

The timber-built lodge offers comfortable accommodation designed for year-round stays, with double glazing and central heating throughout. Wi-Fi is available, although signal strength can vary due to the woodland location, and electricity is included. The sleeping accommodation comprises one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, providing space for up to four guests. Bed linen, duvets and towels are provided, with beds made up ready for arrival. The family bathroom features a bath with a shower over and a WC. Thoughtfully arranged living spaces create a welcoming environment for relaxing after a day exploring the local area or enjoying time by the lake.

A private enclosed veranda with outdoor seating provides the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee, watch wildlife on the water or simply take in the beautiful lake and woodland views. A BBQ is available for al fresco dining, while woodland walks weave throughout the grounds, offering excellent opportunities for spotting wildlife, including kingfishers. Guests also benefit from shared access to the estate's fishing lake, with free coarse and carp fishing available on the main lake; guests should bring their own rods and equipment. One allocated woodland parking space is provided, and a shared metered tumble dryer is available on site. Up to two dogs are welcome, and the property is non-smoking throughout.
