The market towns of Bideford, Barnstaple and Great Torrington are all within 15 miles, offering independent shops, cafés and local attractions, while the popular beaches of Westward Ho! and Instow are less than 10 miles away. The picturesque fishing village of Clovelly, renowned for its steep cobbled streets and historic harbour, is under 15 miles from the lodge, and North Devon’s rolling countryside and dramatic coastline provide excellent opportunities for walking, cycling and wildlife watching.
The comfortable living space has been designed for relaxing stays in a peaceful woodland setting, with double glazing and central heating ensuring year-round comfort. A well-equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, while Wi-Fi is available throughout the estate and electricity is included. The lodge offers one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, making it ideal for up to four guests. Beds are made up prior to arrival, with bed linen, duvets and towels all provided. A family bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower over the bath and WC. Spaciously positioned lodges throughout the estate enhance the sense of retreat, while the peaceful lakeside location and abundance of wildlife create the perfect setting to unwind. Up to two dogs are welcome, and the accommodation is non-smoking throughout.
An enclosed gated veranda with seating overlooks the lake, providing a wonderful spot to enjoy breakfast, relax with a drink or simply listen to the sounds of the forest. Both a Ninja electric BBQ and a brick-built charcoal BBQ are available for al fresco dining, while direct lake and woodland views add to the tranquil atmosphere. Guests have free access to five well-stocked coarse and carp fishing lakes across the estate, with woodland walks and trails offering plenty of opportunities to explore the surrounding landscape. A washing machine is located in an adjacent shed, a shared metered tumble dryer is available on site, and one allocated woodland parking space is provided. Please note there are steep gradients across the estate.
