Tucked into the peaceful countryside of the Blackdown Hills National Landscape near Blackborough, this welcoming yurt with a wood burner is a fun-filled choice for families and couples bringing their four-pawed pals along for an outdoor escape.
A short flight of steps leads onto the deck and into the cosy yurt, arranged with a king-size bed alongside four single beds surrounding the central wood burner which brings a warm, inviting atmosphere when evenings turn chilly. Beside the yurt, the camp kitchen is equipped with two gas hobs, a small oven, pots, pans, a cool box and a washing-up area. Each yurt has its own fridge with a freezer compartment in the shared barn, which also contains extra cooking facilities and a larger area suitable for group meals or special celebrations. A private shower room with WC, reserved exclusively for guests staying in this yurt, is also located within the barn. Outside, the BBQ and fire pit set the scene for sociable evenings, whether you're cooking dinner, chatting beneath the stars or toasting marshmallows. A private compost toilet sits close to the yurt for convenient nighttime visits. Four-legged guests have plenty of room to sniff about, while a large grassy area is available for games, and a meadow maze nearby adds another fun diversion for the whole family.
Walking routes start directly from the site, and the historic market town of Tiverton is 14 miles away, with independent eateries and plenty to explore. For a scenic outing, visit Canonteign Falls, 30 miles away, where one of England’s tallest waterfalls tumbles through woodland. The South Devon coast is within 25 miles, with the Regency resort of Sidmouth and the sandy beaches of Exmouth both well worth a visit.
