Surrounded by the peaceful countryside of the Blackdown Hills National Landscape, this cosy yurt with a wood burner makes a charming base for couples and families looking to experience Devon’s great outdoors.
A short flight of steps leads onto the deck and into the welcoming yurt, where a comfortable double bed sits alongside two single beds. One of the singles can be removed for smaller groups, giving you greater flexibility over the layout. A central wood burner brings warmth and atmosphere on cooler evenings. Nearby, the camp kitchen has two gas hobs, a small oven, pots, pans, a cool box and washing-up facilities, while each yurt has its own fridge with a freezer compartment in the communal barn. The barn also has additional cooking facilities and a private shower room with a WC reserved for guests staying in this yurt. Outside, the BBQ and firepit create a lovely setting for cooking in the open air and toasting marshmallows beneath the stars. A private compost toilet is located close to the yurt for convenient nighttime visits. Beyond your accommodation, the site has a large grassy area for games and a meadow maze to explore, adding plenty of simple outdoor fun to your glamping adventure.
Close to the hamlet of Blackborough, walking trails lead directly from the site, while the historic market town of Tiverton is 14 miles away, with independent eateries, canalside walks and horse-drawn barge trips. The coast is within 25 miles, putting the Regency resort of Sidmouth and the sandy beaches of Exmouth within easy reach. For a memorable excursion, head to Canonteign Falls, 30 miles away, home to one of England’s tallest waterfalls.
