Enjoy a romantic couples’ break at this stylish glamping lodge, set on a complex in the Scottish Highlands. You can park in a private space by your attractive cabin, which makes loading and unloading really easy and stress-free. French doors open from the decking into the open-plan living area, cleverly designed to make the most of the clearly zoned space. It’s got all you need, and the bright and airy interiors are tastefully decorated with high-spec finishes and contemporary design features. The quaint double bedroom and slick bathroom are also in the main pod, behind separate doors. Open the French doors to let the outdoors in and venture out to your private, enclosed veranda which is furnished on one side for dining, reading and toasting your holiday, but also has the all-important hot tub for enjoying long holiday soaks.
The call of the outdoors is loud here, so grab the dog lead and set off on foot along one of the many walking paths nearby. Head to the Fyrish Monument (11 miles) for stunning views out across the Highlands and Cromarty Firth. Stock up, chill out or eat and drink in Alness, a picturesque town 3.5 miles away. In Balintore (13 miles) admire the Mermaid of the North sculpture atop her rock before heading to the sandy stretch of beach at Shandwick, also 13 miles away. Whisky fans can arrange a tour of Glenmorangie Distillery (13 miles) or just pop into the shop, bar and visitor centre.
