Surround yourself with nature at this handcrafted yurt sitting in a secluded meadow on a working Cornish farm. Set high above the Polperro Heritage Coast, it’s just 3.5 miles from the harbour village of Polruan. Sleeping two people in one double bed - with two futons for any extra guests - it's perfect for couples who are searching for a tranquil retreat to call home while they discover the coves of South Cornwall together. Collect your own eggs from the farmyard in the morning, and then set off along the cliff path to Lantic Bay (2 miles) for a swim. Or take the ferry across to Fowey (4 miles) to enjoy a leisurely lunch by the water. In the evening, come home to sink into your private wood-fired hot tub while the stars come out.
Pull into your private parking spot (there's room for two cars) and stroll through the meadow to your yurt. Step inside and you'll find a beautiful boho-inspired open-plan space where rugs, soft furnishings and a wood burner make you feel immediately at home. When it’s time to eat, you’ll find camping-style kitchen facilities are at the bottom of the meadow, as well as a cooking tripod over the fire pit on your private deck. After dinner, relax on the deck’s hammock, take a dip in your wood-fired hot tub, or head off to the shared games’ barn. After a great night’s sleep under canvas in your double bed, wake up and head to the shower room, which is roughly 100 metres away in a converted barn. Grab a coffee and then head to the farm’s shared spa area, which has a sauna and ice-cold shower, before you set of to say good morning to the farm’s pigs, cows and chickens.
Head into Polruan (3.5 miles) and catch the passenger ferry into Fowey (4 miles) to browse the shops and treat yourself to a seafood lunch by the harbour. Further afield, check out the famous biomes and go zip-lining at the Eden Project (20 miles).
