Escape in style at this beautiful Mongolian yurt sitting in a flower-filled meadow of four yurts on a working farm just 2 miles from the National Trust sands at Lantic Bay. Sleeping two people in one double bed – and offering two futons for any extra family members or friends - it's perfect for couples who are searching for a boho-chic hideaway to call home while they explore South Cornwall’s hidden coves together. Take the coastal path down to Lantic Bay (2 miles) for a swim in some of the clearest water in the county, or head into Polruan (3.5 miles) to catch the ferry across to Fowey. In the evening, come home to light the fire pit, hang the tripod over it and cook dinner as the stars come out over the meadow.
Pull into your private parking spot (there's room for two cars) and follow the meadow path to your yurt. Step inside and you'll find ornate rugs and soft furnishings, as well as a welcoming wood burner. Outside, your wooden deck comes with seating, a hammock and a fire pit with a cooking tripod. A short stroll leads to the nearby Cowshed, where you’ll find your own private kitchen and shower room. In the morning, wake up and set off to meet the friendly farm animals, check out what’s happening in the shared games’ barn, or head to the farm’s shared spa area, which has a wood-fired hot tub, a sauna and an ice-cold plunge shower.
Hike along the coastal path to Lansallos (2 miles), where a smugglers' track cut through the rock leads you to a beach that only reveals itself at the last minute. Or head into the fishing village of Polperro (4 miles) to wander along the harbour and eat crab while you watch the boats. Further afield, check out the fascinating biomes at the Eden Project (20 miles).
