Combining contemporary comfort, excellent on-site facilities and a peaceful countryside setting, this stylish lodge sits within an adults-only park surrounded by 80 acres of Shropshire farmland. With its own hot tub and located 2 miles from the historic town of Shrewsbury, it is a wonderful choice for couples seeking a romantic rural retreat.

Inside, the lodge has been carefully designed with an open-plan layout, bringing together the kitchen, dining and lounge areas. French doors open from the living area onto the deck, giving a bright, airy atmosphere. The well-equipped kitchen has everything needed for preparing meals, while in the lounge you’ll find a TV with Freeview and a DVD player. The accommodation has a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room and WC. Large windows throughout the lodge frame the surrounding views, making the most of the beautiful rural outlook. Outside, the secluded deck overlooks the lawn and fishing pond, with a hot tub and outdoor furniture creating a lovely spot for al fresco dining. Guests can make use of the park's shared facilities, including an indoor heated swimming pool, steam room, and stocked coarse-fishing ponds, available for an additional charge. The on-site restaurant, open Tuesday to Sunday, serves locally sourced dishes, while a dedicated dog exercise area welcomes four-legged visitors. Private parking for one car is available.

The nearby village of Hadnall and far-reaching views towards the Shropshire and Powys borderlands add to the appeal of this tranquil location. Shrewsbury itself is rich in heritage, with independent shops, restaurants, riverside walks along the River Severn and more than 600 listed buildings, including its castle and abbey. Outdoor enthusiasts can explore the Long Mynd (19.5 miles), with its sweeping heaths, valleys and gliding opportunities, or visit Carding Mill Valley for scenic walks and picnics beside the stream. The Shropshire Way runs through the park grounds, allowing guests to access walking trails straight from the doorstep.

The views from the lodge was stunning and watching the wildlife was a real treat especially the baby goslings, also lots of baby moorhen. The site is very quiet and not very far from Shrewsbury for shopping. We visited the Quarry and the Dingle gardens in Shrewsbury absolutely beautiful and well worth a visit. We did eat in the Croft once it was OkRead more. Hide
