The cabin is part of a charming complex of similar properties lying within the bounds of a 1,000-acre working beef and sheep farm where you’re welcome to explore the farmland, watch the sheepdogs and help feed the lambs in springtime. The historic town of Castle Douglas lies to the north (7.5 miles), with a wealth of local dog-friendly landmarks including Dundrennan Abbey, Dalbeattie Forest, RSPB Ken-Dee Marshes, MacLellan’s Castle, and the beautiful, secluded beaches at Sandyhills, Rockcliffe and Southerness (all within 20 miles).
