Swap the everyday grind for open skies at this sweet bell tent – one of a small collection of six glamping tents sitting on a farm just 1.5 miles outside the village of Lakenheath. Sleeping four people in one open-plan area, it's great for families or groups who are in search of a simple, back-to-nature hideaway where they can unwind, roam free and gather around the fire pit together each evening. Aviation fans will love watching F-15 and F-35 fighter jets from the RAF Lakenheath Viewing Area (2 miles), while nature lovers will adore following the tranquil trails at RSPB Lakenheath Fen (2 miles). Cyclists should make a beeline for Thetford Forest (7 miles), and hikers can roam the lovely trails at Brandon Country Park (5 miles). Further afield, explore the moated medieval manor of Oxburgh Hall (12 miles), a National Trust gem with secret priest holes and fine gardens.
Step inside your quaint bell tent and you’ll find a lovely open-plan living space where a double bed and two single beds create a homely spot to rest beneath the canvas. Close by, you’ll find your private shower room, which has a walk-in shower and WC, as well as a shared outside kitchen where you have your own fridge, kettle and box of cookware. Cook up a meal under the open sky, or head to the glamping site’s cafe if you want to give your head chef the night off.
Outside your tent, a BBQ and a picnic bench make outdoor dining a breeze, and you can always pop to the shared outdoor kitchen if you need a microwave or a sink. After dinner, make a beeline for the site’s shared central fire pit to meet your neighbours. In the morning, let the kids run off some energy at the site’s shared trampoline, climbing frame, zip line, football pitch or table tennis table. Private parking is available.
