Get back to nature with your loved ones at this cute and cosy bell tent sitting on a friendly glamping site with six other tents, just 1.5 miles outside the village of Lakenheath. Sleeping four people in one open-plan sleeping space, it's ideal for families or groups of friends who are in search of a back-to-nature retreat where they can swap their screens for starry night skies. Aviation fans of all ages will love the RAF Lakenheath Viewing Area (2 miles), where you can watch F-15 and F-35 fighter jets thunder through the sky. Alternatively, nature-lovers should make a beeline to the wetland trails at RSPB Lakenheath Fen (2 miles), or head into Thetford Forest (7 miles) to go biking or hiking. The kids will adore the treetop adventures on offer at the forest’s Go Ape. Further afield, learn all about Anglo-Saxon life at West Stow (12 miles).
Step inside your quaint bell tent and you’ll find an inviting open-plan space with a double bed and two single beds – a fun, canvas-walled retreat for a group of four. There is storage space for your belongings, and electric blankets to keep you warm and cosy should you need them. You’ll find your own private shower room with a walk-in shower and WC nearby, as well as a shared outdoor kitchen, where you’ll have your own fridge, kettle, and box of cookware – everything you need to rustle up a glamping feast.
Outside, a BBQ and a picnic bench set the scene for chilled-out al fresco dinners, and the shared outdoor kitchen area is nearby if you need a microwave or sink. If you don’t want to cook, take the night off and head to the on-site cafe for dinner, and when the light begins to fade, meet your fellow guests at the shared central fire pit. In the morning, take the kids to the large, enclosed play area, where they can let off a little steam on the trampoline, climbing frame, zip line, football pitch, or table tennis game. Private parking is available in the car park shared with other guests. It is accessed via a bark path through the site.
