A shepherd's hut for two in a quiet corner of rural Cornwall, roughly midway between the north and south coasts. This adorable escape suits couples seeking dark skies, far-reaching views and time to relax in the countryside, with TV and Starlink Wi-Fi available when desired.
A traditional, timber-clad shepherd's hut with a curvy roof, this lovely getaway is reached via four steps up to the front door. Inside, it's an open-plan space with a double bed, made up ahead of arrival, at one end of the hut, complemented by a kitchenette incorporating a microwave, single induction ring, fridge, kettle and toaster, plus a breakfast bar for two. The en-suite shower room has a hot-and-cold shower and a flushing WC, with no need for runs outside in the middle of the night. Bed linen, duvets and towels are provided, and the hut boasts double glazing as well as central heating for comfort at any time of the year. Guests can spend time sipping coffee, reading, chatting or enjoying the fresh Cornish air in their private outside space, which is equipped with a picnic table and two deck chairs. The shared grounds include wild fields with mown pathways where you might spot rabbits and overhead buzzards. Making arriving and departing straightforward, parking is provided.
The hut is set on a holiday park, alongside another similar property, and in a fabulous location for reaching the beaches of either the north or south coast within around 10 miles. Get out on the water at Stithians Lake Activities Centre, 2 miles away, or head to Falmouth, 9.5 miles away, for beaches, art galleries, independent shops and seafood restaurants. Arty St Ives is just 17.5 miles away.
