Set in quiet Cornish countryside, roughly equidistant from the north and south coasts, this shepherd's hut for two is a peaceful rural retreat. Spend days here enjoying the surf and the Southwest Coast Path or simply sitting back with a good book and a pack of cards. TV and Starlink Wi-Fi are available if needed.
This cute-as-can-be getaway is a traditionally shaped shepherd's hut, with a barrel-shaped roof, timber cladding and four steps up to the front door. The open-plan interior holds a comfortable double bed, a cleverly designed kitchenette that's perfect for whipping up quick snacks and light meals, and a breakfast bar for dining. The en-suite shower room (with a properly flushing WC) is the final component of this gorgeous escape. Double glazing and an electric wall heater keep the interior warm throughout the year, so whether you're sipping a morning coffee or just back from a swim you'll be toasty and comfortable. The hut stands alongside another shepherd's hut on a delightful holiday park and has a private outdoor space with a picnic table and deck chairs. Shared with other guests staying on the park are wildflower areas with mown pathways perfect for a romantic stroll. Parking is also available on site.
This is an excellent base for outdoor activities, with Stithians Lake and its activities centre just 2 miles away, and cycling, walking and horse-riding trails nearby. Surfing beaches and hidden coves line both coastlines (around 10 miles away), with rugged cliff paths in between. The maritime town of Falmouth is 9.5 miles away, and the cobbled streets and eclectic art galleries of St Ives are within 17 miles.
