Perched high up and with a real tree trunk rising through its centre, this remarkable getaway promises an unforgettable romantic escape for two people. Just moments from Bude's beaches, shops and places to eat, it’s a wonderful hideaway with a balcony where you can sit back and admire endless views and star-filled skies.
This imaginative retreat is set 6 metres above the ground, accessed via a steep external staircase. Inside, its spacious, bright interior is shaded on one side and clear on the other: inviting you to admire the night sky from the comfort of indoors. A soft armchair, LED lighting and a ‘curtain’ of sea shells create a laid-back lounge area, while the compact kitchen includes a combination microwave, electric cool box and air fryer for preparing simple meals. While this is a back-to-nature experience, you’ll still have Wi-Fi and plug sockets, with a Dyson fan for heating if the weather turns chilly. After supper at the table for two, retire to the cosy double bed in the open-plan space (bear in mind that one side is against the wall). Near the bottom of the stairs you'll find the WC and a ‘secret’, open-air hot-water shower screened by hedging. In the treehouse, folding doors open directly onto a balcony with sweeping views, while a ground-level patio features seating and a BBQ. Private parking for one car is available.
The boutique glamping site is a secluded enclave just 1.5 miles from Bude, renowned for its fabulous beaches, sea pool and choice of shops and places to eat and drink. Swim, sunbathe or surf – you can easily spend all day on the sand, or explore the coastal path for some beautiful scenery. If you decide to head further afield for a day trip, both Tintagel and Clovelly are within 18 miles.
