Just 200 metres from the beach in Wells-next-the-Sea, this glamping-style lodge for seven is made for sandy days, family adventures and plenty of time outdoors. Inside, the lodge is inviting from the off, with subtle neutral shades softened by touches of blue throughout. Wide windows flood the open-plan living area with daylight, while the generous seating gives everyone somewhere to flop after a full day outside. Set out drinks and snacks while dinner comes together in the U-shaped kitchen, then gather around the dining table for a long family meal, followed by board games into the night. On warmer evenings, carry everything onto the wraparound deck and eat beside the BBQ. When everyone is finally ready to turn in, choose from the double bedroom with an en-suite, the twin room or the triple cross-over bunk bedroom. Buckets, bodyboards and beach towels can become everyday essentials here. Spend hours mooching on Wells Beach, or perhaps enjoy a little after-dinner walk along the Norfolk Coast Path towards Holkham Beach (2.5 miles).
