Set deep in the Staffordshire countryside, this quirky glamping pod is a wonderful spot for couples, families or friends keen to swap the daily rush for peaceful surroundings. Spend your days going on pretty walks nearby and visiting characterful market towns and historic houses. The pretty villages of Rocester and Denstone are both within 2 miles.
Inside, the spacious pod has a curved ceiling, soothing neutral tones and plenty of homely touches. Its open-plan layout combines the lounge, kitchen, dining area and sleeping space. Relax on the comfortable sofa, which converts into a bed for two additional guests, and rustle up meals in the country cottage-style kitchen. Meals can be enjoyed gathered around the dining table, perhaps opening up the large patio-style front door to let in the countryside breeze. For sleeping, a cosy single bed sits at one end of the pod, along with a double bed at the back. A shower room with WC completes the indoor space. In good weather, relax on the furnished front patio, equipped with a BBQ for laid-back meals. You’ll also have use of a shared undercover seating area with a pizza oven. An honesty shop sells local produce and homemade goodies, as well as providing freezer storage for guests. Private parking for two cars is available on site, a short walk from the pod.
To get out into the wilderness, pull on your walking boots and head into the Peak District National Park (within 10 miles), where open moorland, deep, steep-sided dales and rolling green hills provide plenty of opportunities for walking, climbing and cycling. History fans can visit Sudbury Hall and the National Trust Museum of Childhood (10 miles). At Carsington Water (13 miles) you can go walking, cycling, birdwatching, sailing or windsurfing.
