Enjoy every creature comfort at this luxurious lodge – located in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds, it’s pet-friendly and features a fabulous open-plan social space plus two en-suite bedrooms. Just 4.5 miles from market town Driffield and less than 12 miles from coastal hot spot Bridlington, it’s one of a small collection of wood-clad cabins on a family-run farm, each with their own parking and outdoor area.
This rural retreat is instantly welcoming, the warm hues of natural wood creating a cosy ambience at any time of year. In the lounge area, comfortable seating is arranged before a Smart TV while French doors flood the space with natural light and open onto the outside deck. To the rear, the chic kitchen has all the must-haves of home, and is complemented style-wise by a contemporary dining suite. When it’s time to sleep, two en-suite bedrooms beckon – one boasts a king-size bed and the other has a super-king-size bed which can be arranged as a twin on request. French doors lead from the main social space and each of the bedrooms onto a private deck at the rear of the property, which has a BBQ and outdoor dining furniture and leads to a grassy area beyond.
Nearby Nafferton offers good amenities for a village of its size, with friendly inns and a well-stocked convenience store. It’s also well-located for visits to other must-do destinations within the Wolds – founded in Saxon times, Driffield is a thriving town that epitomises the vivid history, culture and flavour of the surrounding countryside, while seaside resort Bridlington has a historic harbour and golden beaches. Further afield, Beverley, 17.5 miles south, is one of Yorkshire’s best-kept secrets with its stunning 13th-century Minster and lively cobbled squares.
