Enjoy every creature comfort at this luxurious lodge – located in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds, it’s pet-friendly and features a fabulous open-plan social space plus two en-suite bedrooms. Just 4.5 miles from market town Driffield and less than 12 miles from coastal hot spot Bridlington, it’s one of a small collection of wood-clad cabins on a family-run farm, each with their own parking and outdoor area.

This rural retreat is instantly welcoming, the warm hues of natural wood creating a cosy ambience at any time of year. In the lounge area, comfortable seating is arranged before a Smart TV while French doors flood the space with natural light and open onto the outside deck. To the rear, the chic kitchen has all the must-haves of home, and is complemented style-wise by a contemporary dining suite. When it’s time to sleep, two en-suite bedrooms beckon – one boasts a king-size bed and the other has a super-king-size bed which can be arranged as a twin on request. French doors lead from the main social space and each of the bedrooms onto a private deck at the rear of the property, which has a BBQ and outdoor dining furniture and leads to a grassy area beyond.

Nearby Nafferton offers good amenities for a village of its size, with friendly inns and a well-stocked convenience store. It’s also well-located for visits to other must-do destinations within the Wolds – founded in Saxon times, Driffield is a thriving town that epitomises the vivid history, culture and flavour of the surrounding countryside, while seaside resort Bridlington has a historic harbour and golden beaches. Further afield, Beverley, 17.5 miles south, is one of Yorkshire’s best-kept secrets with its stunning 13th-century Minster and lively cobbled squares.

  • 2 bedrooms – 1 king size, 1 super-king-size (can be made into a twin on request at time of booking)
  • 2 bathrooms – 1 en-suite with a shower over the bath and WC, 1 en-suite shower room with WC

Lovely roomy lodge. Ideal for 2 couples and 2 spaniels. Weather was really bad with torrential rain and having wooden floor in the kitchen area was really good . Really nice touch from Rachel the home made cookies and the prosecco.

Beautiful, well equipped, spotless lodge in peaceful, really well maintained area. Everything we needed, plus some kind welcome treats, which were unexpected and appreciated. We'd love to visit again. Great base to enjoy Filey, Brid, Flamborough, Friasthorpe beach, Sewerby Hall and then return to cosy peace and quiet. Highly recommended. :-)
