Good location, questionable toilet paper Great spot... close to BM and easy to get to. The sofas were comfy just slightly oversized for the room, like theyd been chosen by someone who really loves lounging and slightly less loves spatial awareness. The lodge sits a little exposed, so passers-by can see in if they fancy a nosy. Wasnt a big deal duRead morering our quiet stay, but its worth knowing if privacy is high on your list. There is a jacuzzi (not shown in the listing photos), though it could have do with a good clean. As could the outside of the lodge... huge amount of cobwebs. A few of the smaller details felt a bit thrifty for the price: The toilet paper had the texture of industrial sandpaper. Memorable, but not in a good way. The main TV needed a solid warm-up period. You could comfortably make a cup of tea between switching it on and actually watching anything. The ensuite shower temperature control was extremely sensitive... one millimetre either way and you were either being gently poached or flash-frozen. We arrived to find no washing-up liquid or dishwasher tablets. The HC team sorted it quickly once we asked, which was appreciated. Little touches like a starter supply of milk, tea and coffee would go a long way at this rate. Nothing major, just the kind of things that make a place feel properly looked after. Overall a decent stay with a few rough edges that are easy enough to smooth out. Hide

Very clean and well maintained cottage that comfortably sleeps 6 with 2 well appointed bathrooms and a very well equipped kitchen. Location is well away from roads and so is super quiet at night.

We came for Christmas as we did not want to be at home this year. Our friends came with us and our dog. The place is perfect access to the local pubs and beautiful village. The neighbours on the site were really friendly. The lodge has everything to cater for self catering. We will definitely go back. Thank you.

Loved the property, area and location. It was the perfect getaway for Christmas. The village was decorated beautifully for the time of year. I would definitely recommend booking this lodge.
