This surprisingly-spacious Nordic-style lodge sitting on a pretty holiday park in St Merryn is the ideal accommodation option for small families and groups of friends in search of a tranquil getaway within easy reach of the North Cornwall coast. The pretty village of St Merryn (2.5 miles) is a hidden gem with a welcoming atmosphere, handy shops, a nice selection of bars and restaurants and almost 6 miles of stunning coastline. Pack up a picnic and head to Treyarnon Bay (3 miles), a beautiful sandy beach that’s surrounded by low cliffs and backed by sand dunes, or to Trevone Bay (4 miles), a sandy stretch served by a small rocky river inlet. Alternatively, head into the charming fishing port of Padstow (2.5 miles) to take a surf lesson, visit the lobster hatchery or explore its lively restaurant scene. From unbeatable Cornish pasties and fresh-from-the harbour seafood, to indulgent cream teas and homemade ice cream – you’ll find it all in Padstow. Further afield, make your way to the Eden Project (20 miles) to trek through the world’s largest indoor rainforest.

Step inside this pretty single-level lodge and you’ll find a wonderful open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Make yourself at home in this sociable space – a comfortable area where it’s easy to spend quality time with your loved ones. Sliding doors offer lovely scenery beyond and the chic table provides seating for four. It’s bright and breezy and the coastal themed decor adds to the holiday atmosphere. There are two lovely bedrooms to choose from – a double and a twin – as well as a stylish family bathroom.

Outside the lodge you’ll discover an unenclosed patio and shared grassed area, as well as a table and chairs for al fresco dining. There is a designated BBQ area on the site, seasonal bar and a children's play area to keep the little ones happy.

I would recommend to friend's only if it was not recommend as a 4 adults. More like 2 adults. Not space for clothes. The mattress are very bad also it could do with blackout curtains. The on site facilities being i.e. clubhouse not good.

Very pleased with the chalet, it was set out very well. The hot water was sporadic especially in the morning in the kitchen. The surrounding area was lovely and peaceful and we were able to get to any place we wished to visit. Would definitely visit this site again.
