Other local highlights include the magnificent National Trust estate at Blickling (3.5 miles) with its majestic Jacobean country house and enchanting formal gardens. For a day by the seaside, the peaceful beach at Happisburgh is to the east (13 miles), or you can head to the vibrant Victorian-era resort of Cromer to the north (12 miles).
