For a rural break with plenty of history on your doorstep, stay at this chic wooden glamping pod within the Shropshire Hills National Landscape. It’s perfectly suited to couples or solo travellers, and a lovely spot for switching off among beautiful rural scenery. With castles, grand country estates and heritage attractions all within reach, there’s plenty to fill your days before retreating to your own quiet corner of the countryside.
On arrival, you’ll take two steps up to the wooden decking then step straight into your airy open-plan living space. Here, a comfortable sofa and Smart TV set you up for laid-back evenings. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for self-catering, with a dining area for sitting down to leisurely meals. When it’s time to turn in, there’s a plush double bed at the back of the space, along with an en-suite wet room and WC where you can take showers. Outside, the south-facing deck makes the most of the uninterrupted country views, with a table and chairs for al fresco drinks and a couple of loungers for spending lazy mornings. As evening rolls around, sink into your private hot tub and settle in for a long soak beneath the open sky. Off-road parking is provided for two cars.
