Set in secluded countryside and surrounded by sweeping views, this peaceful Cornish hideaway is a lovely choice for a couple and their dog in search of a quiet rural break. Spend an evening soaking in the shared hot tub, take the resident alpacas for a walk, or settle on the decking with a morning coffee and listen to the sounds of the farmland.
Cleverly arranged to prioritise time spent together, the inside of the cabin has a delightful open-plan design with a flickering wood burner and a sofa bed where you can snuggle up with a book. The kitchenette is simple but has the essentials for self-catering meals, including a 2-ring hob and a table for dining. After dinner, head over to the shared area to dip in the hot tub, or take a wander along the fairy trail. At the end of the day, slip into the Egyptian cotton sheets of the king-size bed and enjoy a deep slumber while dreaming of future adventures. Wake to sunlight filtering through the canvas and take your time listening to the peaceful sounds of nature outside, and then when you’re ready, access the shower and WC from the outdoor decking.
There’s plenty to keep you busy on site, but if you decide to venture out, then Liskeard is 10 miles away. Known as the ‘A walkers' getaway to the Moors and coast’, Liskeard is perfectly positioned to explore the rugged landscapes of Bodmin Moor (8 miles), and the glorious seaside spots of South Cornwall, including Looe, Talland Bay and Polperro (all within 6 miles). And, when you’re ready to refuel, Liskeard has plenty of places to eat, drink and shop.
