On arrival, you’ll climb three external steps to the horsebox's original loading ramp – which has been cleverly transformed into an outside eating area – then step through the French doors into a character-filled living space. Wood-panelled walls and earthy tones create a warm and welcoming feel, especially if you get the wood burner going. On sunny days, you can open the doors and let the fresh country air drift inside as you prepare easy meals and picnic lunches in the compact kitchenette. The bench seating inside is perfect for relaxing with a book or planning the next day's adventures and converts into a pull-out sofa bed for one additional guest. When it’s time for bed, climb the wooden ladder up to the inviting super-king-size bed which is tucked away to one side. Outside, you’ll have a private shower room and separate composting WC, both with open sky views. Along with the bistro set on the loading ramp, there’s a gravelled seating area at ground level with a fire pit and a griddle, so you can enjoy fresh-air BBQs. Ample parking is available in the on-site car park, and a wheelbarrow is provided to help ferry luggage across the meadow.
Locally, you can visit the weekly market in Fakenham (14.5 miles) or spend a day discovering the medieval city of Norwich (15 miles), home to an impressive cathedral and castle. This traffic-free trail, which stretches from Aylsham (15.5 miles) to North Walsham (22 miles) along a former railway line – ideal for walking, cycling and horse riding.
