It’s not every day you get to stay in a geodesic dome, and this quirky holiday dwelling provides a memorable glamping escape for solo visitors and couples looking to enjoy beautiful West Cornwall. Set on a peaceful site on the edge of Ashton, it places you perfectly for exploring both coast and countryside, with Porthleven (2.5 miles) and Helston (3.5 miles) both nearby. You can while away a few hours browsing Porthleven’s independent shops, galleries and cafés, visiting the town museum, or, if you're visiting in May, soak up the lively atmosphere of the famous Flora Day celebrations in Helston.

Step up onto the surrounding wooden deck and enter this cosy retreat, where an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner/bedroom creates a warm and welcoming space. Fire up the wood burner after a day of adventures, rustle up a light meal in the indoor cooking area or make the most of your private outdoor kitchen for al fresco dining. Relax with your favourite shows on the Smart TV before settling into the comfortable king-size bed, where the clear roof above lets you admire the stars from the comfort of your pillow. A private shower room with a WC is located 20 metres from the dome, and shared on-site laundry facilities are also available. Outside, enjoy breakfast or dinner on the deck, sink into your private hot tub whenever the mood strikes, and make use of off-road parking for one car beside the dome, with additional shared parking available if needed.

When it’s time to explore, head to peaceful Rinsey Cove or sandy Hendra Beach (both 1.5 miles) for swimming, snorkelling and picnics, or join the South West Coast Path for spectacular coastal walks. History lovers will love the National Trust’s Godolphin Estate (3.5 miles), where medieval gardens and picturesque countryside provide a wonderful setting for a leisurely afternoon.
