A wooden staircase leads up to this elegant property, with bifold doors leading through to a sweet open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The welcoming high-ceilinged lounge features a Smart TV and a wood burner, with a romantic dining table over to one side and a sleek, elegantly organised kitchen in the corner. This floor also has a refreshing shower room. A spiral staircase winds up to the mezzanine bedroom with a sumptuous king-size bed tucked into the eaves. Outside, the generous decked space wraps around the lodge, with ambient lighting, a bar area, a pizza oven, and a blissful sheltered hot tub. On the ground level, a gravelled area features a fire pit and tree-trunk stools, with access to the owner’s woodlands where you can meet the resident alpacas. Parking is available for one car, with a one-minute buggy ride leading to the property.

Known as the Town of Flowers, Usk (2 miles) is also home to a historic castle and the Usk Rural Life Museum. Local landmarks include Raglan Castle, Goytre Wharf and Veddw House Garden, all within 11 miles. The Brecon Beacons are to the west (7.5 miles) and the Wye Valley to the east (9 miles) offering miles of tranquil walking and rugged hiking trails.
