Located in the heart of the North Wessex Downs National Landscape, this lovely lodge is set right on the lakeside and has opportunities for wild swimming. It is an ideal place for a couple seeking a rural retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday lifel.

Soak up panoramic views from the bright and airy living space that is adorned with floor-to-ceiling windows framing the lake and surrounds. Curl up on the comfortable seating and unwind watching the lake’s coming and goings and spot wildlife in the tranquil woodlands. The stylish kitchen is super handy with an oven, a hob and a fridge so you can easily make quick meals and hearty breakfasts. A handy little dining table is also provided. As the day draws to a close, head to the rear of the lodge where the double bedroom waits for a restful night’s sleep. Completing the interior is an an en-suite shower room and a separate WC. Outside, a little garden area has outdoor furniture and a BBQ where you can dine al fresco and enjoy evening tipples. Don your swimsuits and take a dip in the adjacent lake for some wild swimming.

Lambourn (1.5 miles) is a little village with a couple of pubs, while immediately around you, there are many walking routes passing hill forts and barrows. Visit Uffington White Horse (8.5 miles), a 3000-year-old chalk figure carved into the hill and a great place for a walk and a picnic among beautiful views. The bustling town of Swindon is 15.5 miles away and has many shops, eateries, and museums, including STEAM – Museum of the Great Western Railway.
