Tucked away in scenic countryside at South Leverton, 6 miles from Retford, this characterful shepherd’s hut makes a cosy base for couples and their four-legged friend. Sleeping two guests, it’s a wonderful choice for a romantic rural break, with its own hot tub as well as walking and cycling routes waiting to be discovered from the site.
Walk from the parking area past the resident piglets to reach this charming green shepherd’s hut. Four steps lead up to the entrance, revealing a bright, thoughtfully arranged interior with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The country-style kitchen area has room for provisions and supplies, while the seating makes a lovely spot for a morning coffee. In warmer weather, leave the stable door open to let in the fresh air and countryside views; when temperatures fall, the wood burner brings a cosy glow to the hut. At bedtime, the double bed awaits, with a private shower room and WC completing the accommodation. Outdoor living takes centre stage here, with a private seating area where you can settle into the egg chair with a book or simply take in the rural setting. Cook dinner on the BBQ, gather around the firepit as evening falls and watch the solar lights illuminate the surroundings. Later, the private hot tub is a wonderful place to soak beneath the night sky. Off-road parking for one car is available beside the hut.
