The shepherd’s hut is set on the edge of a working farm, alongside another retreat but with your privacy assured. Three steps lead to the front door, and inside discover a delightful bright and inviting living space with exposed woodwork and country-inspired decor. Along one wall is a kitchenette, and there’s a sweet dining table for sharing mealtimes together. In the evenings, snuggle up in the window seat with a book, or climb into the double bed to watch TV before drifting off to sleep. With underfloor heating and a wood burner, you’ll be nice and toasty whatever the weather. A refreshing shower room completes the interior. Outside, stretch out on a sun lounger in the enclosed garden to take in the fabulous views, or tuck into an al fresco supper at the picnic bench. As night falls, sink into the hot tub or toast marshmallows around the firepit. From the property, there’s a lovely walk down to the river. Private parking (via a single track) is available for one car.
The charming market town of Bideford is 2.5 miles away and has a lovely array of independent shops, galleries, and eateries, along with a bustling quayside and large public park.
