We've just got back from a week here and honestly didn't want to leave. The cottage sits right on the edge of open farmland, and the decking that wraps around the back has a lovely view. It's awesome. We ended up spending most of the holiday at the cottage itself, which says it all. Coffee in the morning watching the cattle graze in the fielRead mored beyond the fence is hard to beat. It's also completely dog safe, which was a huge bonus for us. Everything is properly fenced with secure gates, so our border collie could be let off to roam without us having to watch him every second. That's a rare thing in a rural let and it made the whole week far more relaxing. The dark skies are worth mentioning on their own. We brought a telescope on a whim and it was the best decision of the trip. Almost zero light pollution, and we caught some great views of the moon and even Saturn. Inside, it's exactly what you want from a country cottage: proper log burner, exposed brickwork, comfy sofas, and a TV for whatever you want to watch. A nice surprise was the wifi. It's a proper hardwired access point rather than the usual struggling router you get in rural places, so we streamed everything with no issues at all. Hide

We absolutely loved this beautiful Lodge. 5 stars. The only problem we have now is finding somewhere that equals it and having stayed at a lot of cottages, that is going to be hard.
