An excellent cottage, in an excellent location with helpful owners. The cottage is well maintained and laid out, with a well sized combined kitchen, dining, lounge area. The area is very quiet, with a short walk down to a foreshore for views. Plockton is ca. 15min drive away from which we used our kayaks. Very well equipped set of pans wRead moreith lids and excellent knives made cooking so much better. Although no WiFi, a signal can be obtained on the veranda for O2 for those important weather updates. The owners live on site in a totally separate house - useful if help is needed but absolutely not intrusive. Hide

The log cabin is situated in a beautiful setting with open plan accommodation with a log stove which makes it even cosier on a chilly evening. The only thing we were disappointed in was the lack of good restaurants, the only decent meals out was the Indian restaurant on skye which is excellent.

We spent a lovely time in the little chalet and it gave us time to relax and recover from camping ;). While we didn't have that much luck with the weather this year, the house offered a cosy retreat and time to read as well as short drives to many of the places we love and revisited. A chalet tucked away in the most beautiful, peaceful area, this is our second stay here. Chalet is first class in everything and David and Kath the owners are great.
