Great cabin, lovely location doesnt get the sun so hard to get things dry towels, beach stuff etc. lots of equipment, washer, microwave, dishwasher all pots and pans everything you could need really. Hot tub is huge and very good beds are comfy the single beds are both full size so great for older kids or even adults. Lots of storage in the bedRead morerooms but nothing in the kitchen or living area, no where to put games or you bits and pieces keys phones etc could do with a tv cabinet or little cupboard. Hadnt for Dartmoor, Bude where we normally stay, Exeter we did Dartmouth for a boat, Oakhampton is canny, the castle is worth a visit Simmons park is lovely. The Chinese isnt great but the kebab shop one kebab I think it was called was nice. Hide

Tor Lodge was one of the only lodges on site that had the jacuzzi on the decking not seperate which meant our dog could lay next to the jacuzzi and see us at all times or go back inside if too hot for her. The site is in a good position as a base to go out to many different places without having to drive too far.(within 1 hour drive). The pub/restRead moreaurant on site had recently been took over and served very nice food (Italian) and was dog friendly the only problem we had was that the area for dogs was the conservatory and because of heatwave both the dog and ourselves were far too hot in there. The ev charger was a bonus for us as it was right next to our lodge . Okehampton is a short drive or bus ride away or like us if keen walkers a very pleasant walk. All in all a good holiday. Hide

Tor lodge was excellent. The hot tub was quite private was kept clean all week. The beds were comfy and the shower was nice and powerful. The kitchen had everything you'd ever need. We had a perfect week.

Great break with the lodge comfortable and warm. Our dog settled well but this is our third visit in about a year so a home from home! The owners, Del, Trish & Chris, are exceptionally considerate people, very accommodating and go out of their way to ensure the break is pleasant and all is ok. Thank you for another great stay.

We all had a fantastic time away, we are all carers and we don't get to spend much time together out of work. Everything was perfect and would definitely stay there again.

A very well equipped chalet with a good location. My only quibble was that the hot tub outside the house was not not particularly secluded.

Having stayed in Tor Lodge we found a distinct lack of privacy as it faced directly on to the access road to the other lodges. The site map on the website is rather misleading as to the lodge's position. Due to it's position under several trees there was a lack of direct sunlight which left the lodge a bit gloomy and lacking warmth without heating.
