This was an absolute gem of a find. Everything was perfect, and we had the most amazing stay. The kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living space were all very well maintained and cared for, and the surrounding landscape was absolutely stunning. It was a joy to watch the rabbits and birds every day. The welcome pack of homemade brownies, locally sourceRead mored milk and other goodies was very welcome (and delicious). We were so lucky with the weather and were therefore able to enjoy eating and relaxing on the veranda overlooking the beautiful countryside. The family (and carriage's) emphasis on caring for the local wildlife and preserving nature is amazing to see. Overall, the location was practical for visits to local spots including Castle Drogo, Exmouth, Canonteign Falls, Babbacombe (and model village, which is well worth a visit), Dawlish Warren, Exeter Cathedral etc. The interior and detailing from the original carriage make this a truly special place to stay. We highly recommend this place and have been talking about it to everyone who will listen! Hide

A quirky accommodation which is lovely to experience rather than standard rental properties. The standard of fitting and equipment was excellent and we didn't want for anything. The views and wildlife made for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. The location made for easy to access many of Devon and Dorset's beauty spots.

Really lovely place to stay - being able to step out the door and walk round the rewilded site whenever we wanted was a huge benefit to us. And it's very conveniently located. Creature comforts (and more) all taken care of with lots of thoughtful touches. What's not to love. We are planning a return.
