Paignton is a traditional seaside town with amusement arcades, Victorian pier, gift shops, and an array of independent eateries. After a potter around the town, head down to the red-sand beach for a stroll along the shoreline or a paddle in the sea. The picturesque harbour town of Brixham (4.5 miles) makes a lovely day out with its cobbled streets, quaint fisherman’s cottages, boutiques, and galleries. For keen walkers, the dramatic Berry Head, just outside Brixham, offers panoramic views and wildlife watching opportunities.
