This is a fab lodge in a brilliant location. Quiet, peaceful. Pub few yards away. Lodge is well equipped. Down side is Id say it either needs some TLC or the price should reflect it. For the cost we paid it was certainly not on the top 10 weve rented but should be said that as a lodge at the right price it certainly would be. So to take nothing awaRead morey from it youll get a nice quiet lovely stay here. Some tweaks may just lie with the people who maintain it. We tried to use air fryer first morning and it was filthy. Stood out as the rest of the place was well cleaned prior to arrival. Some is dated - the sofa in living area and headboard in main bedroom need a good freshen up. And we had people wandering along side the lodge and to the storage areas on 2-3 days without introducing themselves or notifying us as I believe they store stuff here for maintaining more than one lodge possibly ? A quick sorry to disturb would have helped whilst we had breakfast on the decking but I feel that may be harsh. It really is a lovely location and at the right price wed certainly return. Thanks for your hospitality. Hide

A lovely cabin with super countryside views and sounds. Clean and well presented besides a few wear and tear scuffs. Kitchen was well kitted out. Only downside was the supposed kingsize bed was more standard double. Would recommend for a short break or longer holiday. Great base from which to explore and take countryside walks. Holly Lodge is very tired and needs updating, especially the hot tub which needs repairs and was not inspected once whilst we we there. The standard of cleaning needs to be better, with dirty windows, a lot of dust and a shower outlet that wouldn't drain properly due to a build up of hair. Of the three televisions advertised only one in the living Read morearea was working. The hot tub in the next door lodge is very close to the double bedroom and the constant humming was very noticible. Hide
