Just returned from wonderful weeks holiday at Kingfisher lodge. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable. The location of the lodge including the site and private fishing lake was peaceful and well maintained. My husband enjoyed the fishing and commented on the quality of the fish he caught. We enjoyed our stay. There was milk butter etc left for us which was very welcome. The owners were very helpful. There was everything we needed. We feel that the property would be more suited to people who fish, to get some use of the lake. However, the peace and quiet of the location was lovely.

The lodge was idyllic and exceeded our expectations. Only a short distance from the A47 but total tranquility. The private lake is beautiful and peaceful and we enjoyed watching the kingfishers gliding over it morning and night. The accommodation had everything we needed and was clean and well set out. 2nd visit. If you want total seclusion and get away from everything then this fits the bill nicely. We have been in 'high end' cottages that have been less well equipped than this lodge and there were numerous new items that a lot of people don't bother about replacing when worn or tatty. Helen the owner is very helpful & always quick if a questionRead more is asked, and also left a lovely welcome pack. The lodge is close to a lot of good places to visit like Totnes, Newton Abbot, Paignton & Trago Mills Hide
