Sleeping just two guests, the imaginative, one-bedroom glamping hideaway has been created from a sweet chestnut tree and now provides exquisite accommodation with beautiful views across the Clun Valley. Situated near Hall of the Forest, 6.5 miles from Clun and 11 miles from Newtown, it nestles at the heart of the magnificent Shropshire Hills.
Follow the path up to the deck where the incredible, Hobbit-style abode is positioned. Pause to admire the unique hideaway before stepping inside and finding yourself in another world. At the heart of the bijou retreat is a studio-style, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where you and your partner and unwind and feel miles away from the stresses of your daily lives. Within this gorgeous, wood-lined space, you can make cups of tea and prepare light meals. Lay a fire in the wood burner so you can bask in its heat and even cook inside it. Pull the table out to dine, then settle on the window seat to absorb the picturesque view through the porthole window. At the end of each day, stretch out on the double bed for the sleep of princes. There is a shower room within the pod. Dine out on the deck against the splendid backdrop. Cook on the BBQ, toast beside the firepit and doze in the hammock. Guests are also welcome to explore the organic farm and meet the resident animals. There is private parking here for two cars.
Venture out on long walks, including along Offa’s Dyke Path, which passes close by and runs along much of the border between England and Wales. Head into Clun or Newtown to shop and dine out. Ludlow, with its colourful shops, many eateries and castle, is 24.5 miles away.
