For a change of pace, the vibrant market town of Hay-on-Wye is just 4 miles away. You can leave the car behind and head straight into the mountains, with a private walk leading directly onto Hay Bluff, making this a fantastic retreat for keen walkers.
The cabin is simply styled yet comfortable, offering open-plan living with a contemporary feel and far-reaching views across the valley. Inside, the space is cleverly arranged to provide a lounge area with a comfortable sofa and Smart TV, and a kitchen area with everything you'll need for creating a simple supper after a day of exploring. A cosy double bed and a shower room complete the accommodation, providing a welcoming space to return to. From the living area, patio doors open onto a raised terrace with a table and chairs and a fire pit, perfect for taking in the scenery. You’re also free to explore 300 acres of surrounding wood and farmland. Please note there is a 100-metre path from the farmyard parking area (with space for one car) to the cabin, and a wheelbarrow is provided to help with luggage.
The magnificent landscape of the Black Mountains offers plenty to discover. You can join the Offa’s Dyke Path where you can walk out to Hay Bluff and Twmpa, climb onto the Cat’s Back, or enjoy the historic ruins of Llanthony Priory. For those seeking more adventure, canoeing, pony trekking, and climbing are all available within the park. The book town of Hay-on-Wye (4 miles) offers a wonderful day out with its many bookshops.
