This charming shepherd’s hut offers a peaceful retreat for couples looking to escape everyday life and immerse themselves in the beauty of nature. Set on the Devon and Cornwall border, it’s the perfect base for exploring two picturesque counties. With breathtaking walking trails right on your doorstep, you can wander through nearby woodlands or venture just 2 miles to discover the National Trust’s unique cliff-top Hawker’s Hut and the rugged South West Coast Path.

Inside, this beautifully designed shepherd’s hut has been thoughtfully crafted to provide comfort and relaxation. The cosy living space features a wood burner to warm up after exploring, along with a king-size bed perfect for unwinding at the end of the day. Beautiful shepherds hut in a very peaceful location. Well equipped, comfortable and stylish. Owners thought of everything including tea coffee milk and biscuits on arrival.

Excellent getaway and a credit to the owners who have provided everything you could possibly need for your holiday. The hot tub was lovely to relax in after a busy day exploring the coast. Highly recommended

Of several lodges, cabins & pods we have visited over the last 5 yrs this is the only one where we have returned. It is ideally situated, & isolated, despite 2 other holiday homes being at the same property. The shepherd hut is small but perfectly formed, and suitably quirky, to appeal to us! It has a very comfortable & surprisingly roomy bed, an oRead moreven, microwave & hob, kettle, toaster and a wood burner which banishes the chills very quickly! Perfect location for a restful getaway, the shepherd's hut is quirky and comfortable with everything you need and a very private hot tub in beautiful surroundings with just sheep for company and safe area for your dog. Would definitely recommend this place and the hosts are very friendly and told us of places to visit and local history. We had the Read morebest week here and would love to return. Hide

Lovely gardens and area surrounding. Unfortunately due to weather we were unable to use hot tub , barbecue or outside space.

Thus place is excellent. It was so quiet. No traffic noise or anything. Also it was so dark we had brilliant views of the Mily way galaxy so if you like looking up, take a telescope with you. Plenty to see and do in the area and Bude has a great beach with surfing so cowabunga dudes and have fun

Amazing shepherds hut so cosy, comfortable. Hosts were so friendly and had thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. Local pub excellent food. Rectory cream tea a must!! Best holiday yet!!

Highly recommend Mr Toad's moonlight retreat. It was everything we wanted, a quiet and relaxing break away. The hot tub was bonus and we used it most evenings. All utensils/equipment that we needed were provided. Even had tea, coffee, milk, biscuits to welcome us, even dome dog treats for Max. I had taken things like washing up liquid and hand washRead more but they were actually provided. All towels, tea towels etc looked almost new. The hosts were very welcoming without bring obtrusive. Great holiday, Shepherd's hut was excellent and having the use of the hot tub made it extra special. Great for relaxing and enjoying the sounds of the birds. We hope to return. Many thanks to Julie and Colin excellent hosts.

Lovely Shepherds hut , well equipped - cosy but enough space for 2 plus the dog- with enough height to not bump head . On the edge of the owners beautiful garden -unfortunately we had low cloud and drizzly weather so were not able to take advantage of it. There is a hot tub - we didnt use it . The facility was super, everything was to hand and the owners Colin and Julie were very friendly. Nothing too much trouble. We cannot wait to go back. Super little place for dog owners. Secure And spacious, our little Yorkie, loved it. The secluded location is absolutely fab.

Had a wonderful holiday ! Hut was clean and had everything we needed for our week long stay. Location is peaceful and well situated to explore lots of local sights and beaches. Hot tub was fabulous after long days out walking! Colin & Julie are lovely hosts who go above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need. Beautiful location and lovely shepards hut, hot tub is lush, biscuits and wine in the fridge lovely welcome from Colin The only issue was service but offered to use the landline in emergency :)

What an absolute gem of a place! Colin and Julie have done a fantastic job of making such a lovely little retreat in the heart of Cornwall and they made us feel right at home. Very comfortable and had everything we needed, our dog was catered to perfectly too, thanks for the treats! Couldnt recommend this place enough, we will definitely be back!!

A beautiful space to relax in - the shepherds hut is amazing, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The owners left dog treats out for my dog too which was so lovely! Some beautiful places to visit just nearby too, with great recommendations from the owner. Great pub walkable too!
