Take in the views out over the Scottish Highlands as you relax in your private garden at this welcoming lodge. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom retreat is set in a tranquil location in Cannich, at the southern end of the valley of Strathglass. Venture out into your picturesque surroundings to immerse yourselves in natural beauty, then return to unwind together within the comfortable hideaway.

Wander inside the single-storey holiday home to find inviting, wood-lined accommodation. At the heart of the lodge is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where you can rest and recuperate between your forays. Take a seat on the plump, L-shaped sofa to discuss your escapades or to watch a movie on the Smart TV. Open the door to the garden on warm days so everyone can amble outside. The kitchen has everything you need to help you cater for yourselves during your stay. There is also a washer/dryer for your wet walking gear. Dine together at the table against the spectacular backdrop. As the sun sets over Scotland and your pillow beckons, make your way through to the bedrooms. Here, you have a cosy king-size and a cheerful bunk bedroom. There is a family shower room where you can soak your weary muscles under steamy water after long hikes. Carry your coffee out into the sunshine of the private garden on fine mornings. Have lunch and dinner out here too, during the spring and summer months. There is ample off-road parking.

Head 12.5 miles to Drumnadrochit, close to the shores of Loch Ness. Take a cruise on the beautiful still water to see if you can spot the famous monster. Visit the Loch Ness Experience to hear more of the stories of this area. Venture 4 miles to Dog Falls, a series of scenic waterfalls on the River Affric.

The cottage was very comfortable with a lovely view. There was plenty of room for my dogs to bound around outside. The bathroom as spacious and the shower was decent. Master bed mattress was a bit more solid than I'm used to, but I still slept well. Owner was very nice and welcoming. The door wouldnt stay open, but that was easily remedied. Local aRead morerea was nice enough, that big bus is an eyesore though, what is it even there for? Somewhere for the local drinkers to sit when it rains? Who knows. Hide

What a lovely lodge very peaceful and great views. On our arrival we were met with Miss Muir who was very helpful running through all the necessary info for the lodge and was also available on the mobile with any issues. This is definitely 1 of the best holidays we have had in the Highlands due to the lodge and area for walking and sightseeing.
