Or head to Dolgellau (10 miles) to set off along the beautiful Mawddach Trail, which follows the river and estuary all the way to the coast at Barmouth (19.5 miles). Alternatively, make your way to Lake Vyrnwy (14 miles) and hike the spectacular Giants of Vyrnwy Trail around the reservoir's wooded shores.
