If waking up to sparkling river views sounds appealing, stay at this cheerful holiday cabin in the peaceful village of Llanyblodwel. It sleeps four guests across two flexible bedrooms, making it a wonderful base for couples, small families or friends keen to explore the Welsh Borderlands. You’ll be surrounded by beautiful countryside with fantastic walking and cycling routes close by, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to get out and discover this scenic corner of Wales. The market town of Oswestry (4 miles) has everything you need for shopping and places to eat out, too.

The hub of this sweet home is the open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area, where floor-to-ceiling patio doors perfectly frame those beautiful river views. The stylish kitchen has everything you need for food prep, and there’s a dining table for sitting down to meals. Afterwards, settle into the corner sofa with your favourite programmes on the TV and a cosy electric fire for cooler evenings. The property has two flexible bedrooms – a king-size that can be made up as a twin on request, and a twin that can be converted into a king-size if preferred – along with a contemporary shower room. Outside, make the most of the riverside in the tranquil garden, featuring loungers, a private hot tub, a patio with outdoor dining furniture, a charcoal BBQ and a fire pit for evenings under the stars. Private off-road parking is available for two cars, including one space with an EV charging point.

Here for the hikes? Pull on your walking boots and explore the famous National Trust trail along Offa's Dyke (13.5 miles). The spectacular Llanrhaeadr Waterfall (12 miles), one of the Seven Wonders of Wales, is well worth the trip, or spend a day on the shores of Lake Vyrnwy (20 miles). Welshpool (12 miles) also makes an excellent day out – tour the magnificent Powis Castle and Gardens, stroll along the Montgomery Canal or climb aboard the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway for a nostalgic steam train journey through the Mid Wales countryside.

What an absolutely wonderful week-long stay we had a Min y Dr cabin. It was perfect for us as a family of four and catered to our every need. The hosts have thought of everything and communication was great throughout. The quality of the accommodation and the location were perfect. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend and cant wait to return.

I stayed with adult family members for a quiet week of relaxation. The cabin setup was perfect, everything needed was in the cupboard and of good quality. The EV charger on site was a bonus too! We have been on a few self catering holidays and this was by far the best setup. Clean and modern. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing holiday at Min Y Dwr Cabin. A beautiful place right on the river side with stunning countryside views. The Cabin has everything you could possibly need, was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We were fortunate to see kingfishers most days. A very relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Very easy communication with the owners.

A gorgeous cabin with great hot tub overlooking the river. Amazing to use the hot tub at night and see the night sky. The beds, sofas and all the furnishings are stylish and comfortable. Lovely design throughout and great to have the hidden away utility. Very peaceful and quiet. A great break

The most amazing stay. A beautiful lodge with everything, a modern and stylish interior with everything you would need. The beds felt like sleeping on a cloud and the hottub was a dream. Would 100% recommend this place and the owners made it extra special with some decorations for valentines. Thanks so much!!
