A lovely lodge in a good location. We had a good four night stay- three adults and one three year old. Communication was good prior to arrival and the site was quiet. Plenty of fridge/freezer space and cleaning equipment. We had a lovely holiday but could have been better. The lodge lacks TLC . Needs a couple of repairs done .The pictures were taken years ago so the hot tub now has very high trees and bushes around it so does not have the views all around . The views from the front are amazing . The exterior needs a good clean . There is only two lodges on the site Read moreso very quiet . We were disappointed that we never got a cream scone on arrival , instead we had a buttercream sponge . Zoe was great and listened all my concerns . Hide

Very clean well presented accommodation. Fantastic location that was well signposted. Very quiet location with the decking also private. The hot tub was brilliant and just the thing to take away the aches and pains. All equipment linen and towels was provided. Had a great stay. Clear instruction manual detailing how to use the lodge and equipment.Read more Hide

Very clean property with plenty of space. About 45 mins to beaches and activities and only 10 mins to nearest shop. Nice quiet location and lots of grass surrounding for the dog to run around and have some fun. A bit tricky to find as the map takes you to a farm where you will be chased down by an angry shouty woman but other than that it was a greRead moreat stay. The lodge was very well equipped with everything you could need for your stay. The welcome pack with the washing up liquid, dishwasher tablet, the black bags and cleaning cloths was a welcome addition. There was a folder with so much information about the lodge and surrounding area which was good. The place was spotless and so warm. In fact we hadRead more to turn the heating down at one point. We were a little disappointed to hear from the estate manger that it was potentially going up for sale as it had been mismanaged by the previous owner. There were initially at least 7 lodges but, when we arrived there was just ours and another that was on a years lease, so we were the only guests. The site has the potential to be fabulous so we hope this happens for it soon. Hide

Second time visiting ash lodge and loved it as much as the first time. It is beautifully decorated and has everything you need. Hot tub is great too. Decking is fully enclosed which is great if you have a dog with you. If youre after a quiet break, I highly recommend. We hope to be back next year.

Its a strange one to review to be honest. Potential is 5 stars on everything, but decking area needs hosing and cleaning, the beds are really uncomfortable and the area looks like a building site. when new accommodation arrives the place could be stunning and it has everything you need for a retreat just new beds needed and a good clean. Having a bRead moread back I paid a little extra for what I thought would be a comfortable bed, its probably the worst bed i've slept in and for a retreat thats not good Hide
