Set across a single storey, and featuring striking original beams, the inviting hideaway is full of charming touches. Within the open-plan layout, the cosy lounge area features coordinated furnishings and a Smart TV with a DVD player, creating a relaxing spot to unwind and enjoy a book or a favourite film. The kitchen has everything you’ll need for easy self-catering, including a microwave, while the generous dining table makes lingering over hearty meals or board games a pleasure. A screen separates the sleeping area, where there’s a super-king-size bed (which can be arranged as two singles on request) and a second TV. A shower room with a walk-in shower and WC completes the accommodation. The large, lawned garden, which enjoys beautiful rural vistas, boasts outdoor seating and a BBQ. Ample off-road parking is provided.
The lodge is located on the western edge of Dartmoor, with hiking trails from your doorstep. The village of Lydford, about a mile away, is surrounded by dramatic landscapes, including a 30-metre waterfall in a spectacular gorge, with a swirling whirlpool below. You’ll find shops, pubs and places to eat in Tavistock and Okehampton, both of which are around 7 miles away, or if you feel like taking in the bright lights of the city of Plymouth, it’s just 22 miles away.
