Superbly appointed lodge, well equipped with everything needed for a relaxed and peaceful holiday. We made the most of the hot tub, enjoying the view over the lake while relaxing in its bubbly warmth. Very quiet surroundings in a lovely secluded spot. Sitting on the veranda we saw a Kingfisher flitting about. Also a large hawk of some kind explorinRead moreg its territory. Some excellent fishing was to be had in the easily accessible James pool. Location was great for exploring the nearby coastal areas and further afield. Access to the nearest supermarket was available 10 minutes drive away. Some great pubs available around the area for a nice local pint of ale and delicious food. Came away feeling totally de-stressed and relaxed. Would wholly recommend. Hide

Such a lovely week at Millhayes. Fantastic lodge set on a really beautiful lake. It was so peaceful and we had a nice rested break. Jez lent us a fishing rod for the kids to try fishing on the smaller lake which they loved. Lots to do within an hours travel of the holiday.

The lodge is lovely, well set out & suited our 3 generations of family. It is well equipped & beautifully decorated. The hot tub & the view of the lake are lovely. We've marked down the comfort & value as there was a boiler issue which took most of the time we were there to fix. We can't fault the owners, who did their utmost to get things sorted, Read morebut due to the time it took, we were cold & not able to shower til the last day, which spoilt our time away. However, we'd love to return one day. Hide

Beautiful lodge and surrounding grounds. Even if not fishing, as we didn't, would still highly recommend for peace, quiet and relaxation.

What a wonderful lodge, amazing location and so clean and comfortable. I particularly liked the covered decking, spent lots of time outside looking at the lake, even in the rain. Excellent hot tub too. Great local pub about 10 mins walk away and good local farm shop. We ventured out to a couple of national trust properties but really we were contenRead moret to spend our time relaxing at the lodge. No doubt we will return. Thank you Tom and Jez for a wonderful stay. Hide
