This inviting space has a comfortable sofa which also doubles as a sofa bed, a wood burner, and a Smart TV/DVD. The kitchen area is equipped with everything you'll need and includes a handy dishwasher. The contemporary bathroom features a bath with an overhead shower and WC. The bedroom has a super-king-size zip-and-link bed which can be made up as a twin on request. Outside, an enclosed balcony has a table and two chairs, and there is a further lawn below, also with a table and chairs. Adjoining the lodge is a secure utility and storage room with a washing/dryer, and bike racks. Off-road parking is available for one car.
Set on the edge of the village of Gilwern, you will find pubs, shops, and a picturesque canal. There is an abundance of activities to try, including fishing on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal or at Llandegfedd or Talybont reservoirs, as well as canoeing and kayaking on the Usk and Wye rivers. Other attractions in the area include Blaenavon Iron Works, The Big Pit, and stargazing at the Brecon Beacons Visitor Centre. You could also try horse riding or golf. The historic towns of Crickhowell and Abergavenny are full of shops, pubs, and eateries, with galleries, museums, castles, and a vineyard to visit.
