Park up near the central facilities building and follow the path through the trees to your beautiful glamping pod. Step inside and you’ll find a welcoming light-filled interior with oak flooring, a double bed and children’s bunk beds. A compact kitchenette handles light meals, while a covered outdoor kitchen with gas hobs and a Belfast sink is available in the shared facilities area for more ambitious cooking sessions. Step out onto the private decked area, where a charcoal BBQ, fire pit and outdoor seating provide the perfect place to spend an evening watching the stars emerge over the Peak District ridgeline. Two private heated shower rooms are located in the central facilities building nearby, along with a drying room, cycle storage, and an Info Room stocked with walking maps, books, games and a coffee machine.
Set off along the Tissington Trail (access from Ashbourne, 5 miles), a 13-mile traffic-free cycling and walking route along a former railway line that take you through spectacular limestone scenery, or head to Carsington Water (5 miles) to hire kayaks, paddleboards or bikes from the water sports centre. Further afield, explore the baroque grandeur of Chatsworth House (15 miles), which is one of England's greatest country houses.
