Explore the South Wales countryside and coast from this delightful retreat near Cowbridge. Sleeping two guests, the one-bedroom, wooden pod nestles on a well-kept farm site, 2 miles from Cowbridge and 14.5 miles from the capital city of Cardiff. Gaze out over the Thaw Valley as you sip a sundowner on your private deck.
Enter the pod by taking two steps up and crossing the deck to open the French windows. Find yourselves in a studio-style, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which is decorated in a soothing selection of colours and where sunshine streams in through the open door. On those occasions you choose not to dine out in the on-site restaurant, rustle up a quick snack or light meal over in the compact kitchenette, using tasty Welsh produce from the farm shop. Sit up at the breakfast bar or relax on the sofa as you make your plans for the following day. This sofa can be made up as a bed for two extra guests by prior agreement. There is a Smart TV within the cabin for cosy evenings in front of a good film. When you are ready to retire for the night, the king-size bed, which has a porthole window above it, is set towards the back of the pod. This is also where your en-suite shower room is situated. Have breakfast and fresh coffee made in the machine out at the bistro table on your deck on fine mornings. There is a shared play area on site for those with youngsters in tow.
Wander round charming Cowbridge, pottering in its independent shops and pausing for afternoon tea. Plan a trip to Bryngarw Country Park, 12 miles away, with its 100 acres of beautiful gardens and woodland. Visit sandy Dunraven Bay, 9.5 miles away, on the picturesque Glamorgan Heritage Coast.
