Enjoy an escape for two to this wonderful glamping lodge, set on a complex amid countryside, with one canine chum invited, too! Peace and quiet is assured, and the shepherd’s-hut-style double pod also gives you comfortable and generous accommodation to relax and recharge near this beautiful stretch of Welsh coastline.
Clever design links two handmade units in a shepherd’s hut style. The interiors, however, offer deluxe and surprisingly generous living space. Wood accents, lots of windows and light plus painted panelling marry with the gently curving ceiling for a calming feel. Underfloor heating and a cute wood burner in the lounge keep things cosy year round. The second unit contains the welcoming king-size bedroom (alternatively, the lounge has a sofa bed) and contemporary en-suite shower room. Open the French doors from the lounge to access the raised deck, complete with a bistro set for dining, reading or toasting your good fortune as you drink in the stunning views. There’s also a private, enclosed patio and grassy area, plus parking is available on site.
Llandudno is just 2.5 miles away, on the Creuddyn Peninsula. Explore its two gorgeous beaches, pier, promenade and other seaside attractions. There’s even a cable car that rises and runs along the Great Orme, offering breathtaking views of both mountains and sea. Grab the dog lead and join the Wales Coast Path from the town, striking out in either direction to enjoy the coastline. Conwy (3 miles) is a Unesco Word Heritage site on the estuary, with a working quay complete with fishing boats and cafes. A medieval walled town, you can explore its 13th-century castle and walk nearly one mile of largely intact walls. For more serious hiking, discover the mountain resort of Betws-y-Coed (18 miles), located on the eastern edge of Eryri National Park (Snowdonia).
