This unique and romantic retreat enjoys a tranquil setting within the Staffordshire countryside, just outside the village of Endon. The rustic, adults-only bolthole is perfect for couples looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, with endless walks to explore from your doorstep and easy access to the breathtaking landscapes of the Staffordshire Moorlands and the Peak District National Park. Just 5.5 miles away is the historic market town of Leek, where you’ll find a fantastic range of independent shops and eateries, as well as indoor and outdoor markets. Just outside the town is the walkers’ paradise of Ladderedge Country Park and the beauty spot of Rudyard Lake. Nearby attractions include Trentham Estate (10 miles), Alton Towers (16 miles), and Chatsworth House (28 miles). You can also enjoy day trips to the Peak District towns of Buxton (18 miles) and Bakewell (24 miles).

The charming summerhouse is set on a working smallholding, surrounded by open countryside and an abundance of animals and local wildlife. Inside, the rural hideaway is decorated in calming tones and features wood-panelled walls, bespoke design elements, and a collection of cute, countryside-themed accessories. Taking centre stage is a sumptuous double bed to sink into and watch the Smart TV after a day of exploring. Tucked in one corner is a small kitchenette for preparing breakfasts and light meals, which you can enjoy at the table by the window. Heading outside, just across the path, you’ll find a separate wood-panelled building which houses a contemporary shower room and WC.

Enveloping the summerhouse is a pretty garden with grassed areas and colourful borders. Enjoy al fresco meals at the picnic table or relax in the covered seating area with a glass of wine and your holiday read. For outdoor cooking, there’s a gas BBQ and a fire pit. The property is surrounded by 12 acres of farmland, and guests are welcome to explore the grounds and visit the friendly donkeys, alpacas, emus, goats, and other rescued animals. Ample private parking is also available.
