Indulge in an idyllic romantic retreat from the moment you set foot inside this welcoming Welsh lodge. Sleeping two guests, the one-bedroom bolthole near Caersws, 6 miles from Llanidloes and 9 miles from Newtown, is the perfect escape for those seeking both serenity and spectacular scenery. It even comes with a private sauna for those looking for a little pampering during their stay.

Cross the sun-soaked patio and step up onto the deck to enter the friendly lodge, which has a cosy ambience, thanks to its wooden floors, ceilings and walls. At the heart of the single-storey property is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where you can prepare tasty meals for two with the fresh Welsh produce you have sourced locally. The kitchen area features all the equipment and accessories you are likely to require and there is ample space for romantic inside or outside dining. While away your evenings together, sharing a bottle of wine as you cuddle up on the soft seating in front of the TV/DVD. When night falls, your king-size bedroom offers all the comfort you seek for a great night’s sleep. There is also a TV in here for late-night viewing, plus an en-suite shower room and ample storage. This lodge even has a dressing room. Bask out in the summer sunshine on the patio and sit out on the deck when the weather is less predictable. Treat yourselves to a sauna as often as you wish. This lodge comes with on-site parking.

Venture 9.5 miles to the picturesque Clywedog Reservoir, 9.5 miles away, with its magnificent footpaths. Explore the Hafren Forest, 15.5 miles away, too. Here you can pick up the 8-mile Source of the Severn walk. Wildlife enthusiasts will also wish to spend time at the Llandinam Gravels Nature Reserve, 2.5 miles from the lodge.
